Jack Freddie Witcher was born on September 22, 1942, and is the eldest son of the late Jack and Reba Witcher. Mr. Witcher is a lifetime resident of Haralson County, Georgia, and resides in Bremen with his wife, Joy Lee Witcher, and children, Cassi Leanne Witcher and Austin Garrett Witcher.

Mr. Witcher graduated from Bremen High School in 1960, and was the Valedictorian of his graduating class. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management, and obtained his Law Degree from the University of Georgia in 1967. Mr. Witcher was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and was admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia in December 1966.

Mr. Witcher is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court, all Georgia appellate courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. Mr. Witcher is a past president of the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit Bar Association, and is currently a member of the Atlanta Bar Association.

Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Witcher practiced law for 18 years with the late Thomas B. Murphy, former Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Georgia, and was a partner in the law firm of Murphy, Witcher, Murphy in Bremen, Georgia.

During his 43 years of practice, Mr. Witcher has handled almost every type of litigation in both State and Federal Courts. Presently, Mr. Witcher’s practice is primarily limited to the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury Litigation, and litigated Estate matters, although he does handle other cases involving real property disputes, domestic relations, criminal defense and other general legal matters. During his practice, Mr. Witcher has served as Attorney for the City of Bremen, Haralson County, and the Haralson County Water Authority. At present, Mr. Witcher represents the Bremen City Schools Board of Education.

Mr. Witcher has attained Martindale Hubbell’s s highest rating for ethical standards and legal ability for over three decades.
